Our Roots

Founded in 1984 by the Huebel family and Matthias Oppenlaender, our mission is to grow top quality grapes dedicated to the production of local Ontario wines.

Our Farming Endeavour

We strive to cultivate premium grapes sourced from exceptional vineyards, employing sustainable and innovative viticultural practices to ensure that we deliver the highest quality to our winery partners.

Our Viticulture Strategy

Boasting over 40 years of experience in the grape and wine industry within the Niagara Region, our team brings extensive expertise. With diverse farming backgrounds and education spanning Canada and Germany, we adeptly manage both our own vineyards and offer custom farm management services across multiple vineyards in the region.

We are committed to sustainable viticulture practices and proudly serve as an authorized dealer for Farm for Profit, a renowned program dedicated to sustainable agriculture. As of 2021, our vineyards our Sustainable Winegrowing Ontario Certified.

In 2005, we pioneered the use of GPS planting machines in collaboration with Wagner Pflanzen GmbH in Germany, making us one of the early adopters globally. As an authorized dealer of Wagner equipment for North America, we continue to lead in innovative agricultural technology.

In addition to our custom farming, planting, and harvesting services, we are proud partners with Sunridge Nurseries, offering CDFA certified clean vines to our clients.
